El Patron Latin/Dominican Restaurant in Fair Lawn

zhelder | Dec 2, 201608:51 PM     2

In what may be Fair Lawn's most obscure strip mall on Morlot Avenue is a fairly new restaurant that looks like a place straight out of Paterson in the 60s. And this place makes some of the best Latin/Dominican food you have ever had.

The prices are great. The portions are gigantic. And, most importantly, the food is incredible.

Pernil? Delicious. Mofongo? I don't know what is is, but I know I now love it. (It's actually a fried plantain/meat dish.) Rice and beans? No joke, this place makes the best I ever had. Empanadas? Check. And yum.

This is a no-frills takeout joint (although there are a couple of small tables inside). They deliver, a big plus because the strip is very hard to get into and out of and has limited, tight parking.

There's nothing like this is the area. Please check them out. This is my new favorite restaurant.
