El Khartoum -- 18th and Florida

I was always a little nervous about trying this place, but I got a craving for some falafel so thought I'd check it out. It's definitely a little sketchy looking, but the food was actually quite good. I ordered the vegetable plate and for 6 bucks got a big plate, which included hummous, tabbouli, 2 falafel balls, tomato and onion salad, fried eggplant, marinated cauliflower, and a really good spicy green sauce. The plate came with pita too. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the hood. I don't eat meat but the shwarma looked really good!
