I met some friends for dinner tonight at El Cubanito, a new restaurant on Henry and Cranberry in the Heights. Definitely a winner. Very cute, cheerful decor, friendly service, good food. I had arepas to start - a little greasy but so delicious. One of my friends ordered the potato casserole which was actually a broth with chunks of potato and sausage. For entrees we ordered Ropa Vieja, Macarrone (macaroni shells with chicken and peas in a cheesy cream sauce) and a chicken in rum sauce. All very tasty. Friends had mojitos which they said were just fine. Dinner for 3 of us was $84. Not bad.
