El Cochinito

David Kahn | Mar 3, 2003 04:15 PM

Finally got around to trying El Cochinito. The Missus had the roast chicken, which was good but not great. I ordered the lechon asado, which was, as advertised, extraordinary. Rice and beans were also excellent. As I was eating the roast pork, I kept thinking, this stuff could be really good in a sandwich, and later, looking over the takeout menu, I was happy to see that they do indeed offer a roast pork sandwich, which I will be sampling very soon. Also, I need to try their cubanos. This place has a very nice, neighborhoody sort of feel, and is a great value -- I'll definitely be back. (Thanks Thi.)
