El Bulli - RE-POST - C'mon Hounds, I know someone can help answer my ?s

Sorry to repost, but Ciaonewyork was the only one to answer (thank you!) & I know more people on the board have info... If you really think it's not worth it anymore, please say so. We don't have enough time to get to Basque country - San Sebastien or Bilbao, so I'd really appreciate some honest advice on EB & Con Roca. Thanks!

"I'm the brilliant one who screwed up our El Bulli reservation & asked for & was confirmed the wrong month. Sent them an email explaining the situation about a week ago and they kindly responded that unfortunately, they could not accommodate us in July, the month we are actually in Spain. Just received another very nice email today that they now are able to help us & accommodate us for the date we need. Am I incredibly lucky or is it getting easier to get in?
I'd also appreciate any updates anyone has on El Bulli & am still trying to find out what the approximate cost will be with, say $100 of wine for two. I believe it is cash only - please advise if otherwise. Just trying to figure out how much we need to hit the ATM up for... ((Ciaonewyork kindly responded they took credit cards in 1999 - still true?)) And while I'm on the subject, someone mentioned ages back about a back way that was easier to get there?
I'm also thinking of making lunch reservations (not the same day!) in Girona for El Celler de con Roca - I've heard wonderful things - any recent input on this either?"

I would really like to get info on approx. how much dinner for two will be & info on ways to drive there (I'm thinking of hiring a car & driver from our hotel, the Hostal de la Gavina, as it sounds like such a hairy & confusing drive) & any updates on con Roca. Thanks Hounds - I promise to keep helping wherever I can!
