El Borrego de Oro

Stan | Jun 12, 2004 07:51 PM

At the recommendation of field marshall Gold, I went to El Borrego de Oro, which is on the corner of Whitter and Soto in East LA (right across the street from a stop of the Rapid bus). It is just as Gold says: a small, chaotic place where you go to eat a ferocious plate of barbacoa. It's quite the experience. Even though Gold says the place is crowded on weekends, that's the only time they serve the barbacoa, so I went today anyway and found a table with no problem. Gold writes better than I do, so I'll just let you read his review (below).
