Egyptian food.

I remember when the Luxor in Calgary was on crowchild and so delicious. We had the oportunity to go to Cairo around 3 years ago and the food was so good and really seemed like the Luxor. I had to race back to the Luxor when we were home but it was not as good as I remembered. I don't think they used charcoal to grill and the pita was dry. Rice was meh. Funny thing to me in Cairo was everything came with French Fries, really great ones but I don't know if you can even tell them you don't want any.

Anyone been lately?

I liked Pyramids on international avenue but thought it was more like East African, they claimed the other chef was in Lebonon for holiday when we went. I like Lebonese style but it's not the same as Egyptian to me.

I found Quatara by the sunridge spectrum is a pretty fair substitute but not quite spot on. They say they are Babylonian.

Have Egyptians set up shop anywhere else on the prairies?
