Tasty eggrolls are few and far between around the Twin Towns IMHO. I can't stand the thick, chewy, underdone stuffed with cabbage types. The best I've had are served at Hot Wok at Centennial Lakes Plaza, 76th and France in Edina. The place has zero charm though the people that work there are helpful, lunch buffet thingie at noon, and attentive table service in the evening. No beer or wine, definitely not a destination for leisurely dining. Ohhh, but the eggrolls! Wrapped in a thin, wonton-like nearly greaseless shell, they are chockfull of tender pork and juicy veggies. These eggrolls definitely have a delicate crunch factor. The sauce they serve with them is the kicker. Served in a little plastic tub with the prerequisite lid is a blend of fish sauce and red chilis. Dip away and enjoy. A true chowhound experience. A decent Hot and Sour soup is served there also if you're into pork and beancurd. I enjoyed it. Their entrees have missed the mark several times (read surimi in the seafood special, though it also included several large shrimp and scallops nicely done) So, where is your favorite eggroll 'joint'?
