i remember loving cup-o-noodles as a kid - but then at some point in the 90s or so, it seems as though they started omitting the freeze-dried egg. i know that the cheaper brands (i.e., $0.10/10 v. $0.25/4) never had egg in them - but i just wonder what happened to the original cup-o-noodles? were they scared of germs? were they just cheap? what?
