The possible effects of over-defrosting

In an ill-advised attempt to get a head start on thawing some thick pork chops for tonight, we left them out (in 2 layers of ziploc) on the table for "just an hour or so" last night after spending 2 weeks in the freezer. Needless to say, we forgot to put them in the fridge before bed.

This morning, they were still cold, but completely defrosted. Are they still safe to brine and cook tonight?
