from BOREDOM, not from fat.
they have a feature on their site, "worst foods", which is basically a checklist for how to kill a diet. many of the columns are about fast-food offerings. what is truly shocking, tho, are the items described in readers' letters at the end of most of the columns: hamburgers with eggs and peanut butter, deepfried cheesecake, bacon and sour cream milkshakes...
i cannot make it thru a column without saying "ooh, i gotta try that myself". and in many cases, the readers' offerings are not homemade, but from some greasy spoon somewhere; I am compiling a "visit" list for the next time i drive cross-country.
unfortunately, they've got "best foods" and "worst foods" all mixed up on the website lately, so you have to go thru the columns and pick out the right ones. specifically, those by john mcgran, "mr. bad food".
PS: can i sue ediets for my resultant weight gain?
