help: edible st. pete/tampa Xmas brunch/dinner?

We arrive St. Pete xmas eve evening. Thank god, Pepins is open and not far from where we are staying.

But will we starve on Christmas Day? Any suggestions? Already, I'm obsessing...

Our Xmas day backup is a pricey brunch reservation at the Don Cesar. But $42 per head is hefty for mounds of questionable quality food.

From Wed onward we hope to get to Backfin Blue (return visit, for the corn chowder), Ted's Smoked Fish, Lola's Cajun, Le Croisette (return visit--for pancakes), Mid-Peninsula Seafood (return--for gumbo and conch fritters) and an Andy Huse June 2001 posted Columbian place corner of Howard and Columbus--whose name I can't find in Yahoo yellow pages so we'll just drive over and see what we find and which Andy says is better than La Teresita.
