I have a few questions about edible plants. Is there such thing as a non-edible bay or lime tree? By edible, I mean leaves that are usable in cooking, not to just chow down on. I saw lime trees and laurel trees for sale at a little vendor today and I asked them if they were edible and they said no? with a verbal question mark, leaving some room for uncertainty. It doesn't help that I asked in English in Montreal because my French is so bad. So, are there different types of bay and lime trees, some of which are edible, and some of which are not?
My other question is whether or not someone could link me to a good list of edible flowers and some uses other than salads for which they could be utilized.
