On the way home to Boston from Detroit, we stopped an hour west of Cleveland. I fell to talking with a family who told me about an old amusement boardwalk off Lake Erie that was 20 minutes away.
We found it and had spectacular hot dogs at Eddie's Grill. The hot dogs were meaty but juicy. We sat outdoors and enjoyed. Eddie's also offers Slovenian sausage with "real horseradish sauce". I was kielbasa'd out from my parents' house so passed.
The boardwalk was old and a little honky-tonk but that was part of the fun. There was an ice cream stand (the only one we found) that had home-made-tasting ice cream that was very good, as well.
