eda mame

I just love these yummy plain snackable soy beans - with sake or without. Seems like I should be able to make them easily and cheaper ($3-4/small bowl in restaurants - give me a break!) at home. So starting with, "Go to an Asian market and ask for..." and ending with, "put them in a bowl and serve" - how does one make eda mame?

p.s. - a good asian market to go to near Rego Park (Elmhurst maybe)in Queens, NY would be a nice thing to recommend too...(even though the main focus here is the eda mame and not NYC)
