About ten days ago, Eatzerie on Pine between Davis and Battery changed its name to Banana's. I saw this coming: a couple of months ago, they began serving Thai food in the back. Is there another place in SF (anywhere?) where you can get a whole turkey leg, an omelet, and a Panang curry at the same counter? I like the curry, and have had it several times for lunch. For now the same guy is there carving turkey and making hamburgers next to the Asian ladies preparing curry. There is something sad and end-of-an-era about the makeover, but I never really went there much before they started serving curry, so I can't complain.
