The Best Eats in Tamarindo, Costa Rica

kwool2004 | Mar 24, 201610:36 PM     3

Hi All-

I will be visiting Costa Rica for the first time, and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on the best places to eat in The Tamarindo area. My friend and I are both chefs, and we would mainly like to focus on the most authentic spots in the area. I know it's a tourist town, but I'm hoping there are some hidden gems off the beaten path. Seafood is a must, but we're open to anything else you guys think would be worth it. We definitely do not need fine dining, in fact, the more casual and hole-in-the-wall, the better! We also both speak fluent Spanish so language barrier is not a problem. We will be staying at Jardin del Eden and will not have a car, but we are willing to make a trek somewhere if need be.

Thank you all so much for your help in advance!!! I have tried looking up things online but everything is very touristy.
