My Eats on Anna Maria Island

chuck s | Jan 31, 201508:49 AM

Just finished a two week stay on AMI and really enjoyed the eating experience there. Two meals at Hurricane Hanks, a seapub. Good peel and eat shrimp and grouper sandwiches. Two nice meats at Eat Here. Chopped kale salads, wings, corn casserole, Ceasar salad, shrimp mosca, grilled grouper with shrimp, and ribs two ways, and excellent chocolate budino. Two meals at Star Fish Cafe in Cortez. Great fried oysters, stone crabs, more grouper sandwiches, and hush puppies. Tide Tables, also in Cortez for conch fritters and fish tacos. Didn't have it but the smoked mullet special looked delicious. Surprisingly good and interesting pizza at Village Idiot Pizza, also in Cortez. Fun burgers at Skinny's. A daily donut from Anna Maria Donuts. Excellent key lime pie from Hometown Desserts. Good Italian takeout from Vinny and Cheryl's. Stone crabs from Captain Anthony, a fisherman accross from the Sandbar. Pecan crusted grouper from Blue Marlin. Breakfast at Peaches. Great benedict dishes and hash browns. Very good ribs from Mr. Bones. Also liked Slim's Place but don't remember what we had.
