We are spending this New Year's Eve at home with four friends. =)

A comparison between Petrossian Ossetra and their new American Transmountanus Caviar served with Crackers and my MIL's invention: Wonderbread with the crusts cut off and the loaf compressed. Wonderful vehicle for caviar.

Smuggled Fois Gras on Buttered Pan de Mie with Fleur de Sel

Housecured Gravlax with Dill Cream (Campanile Recipe)

Smoked Sturgeon

Saint-Nectaire, Figs, Dates, Olives and Cornichon

Cheese and Onion Bread from La Brea Bakery

Deviled Quail Eggs

Hard Sausage Marinated in Red Wine and Stuffed with Hazelnuts

Served with Pol Roger Cuvee Winston Churchill

Dinner:
Lobster Cocktail with Tarragon Sauce

Nine Herb Salad

Both Served with Billecart-Salmon Rose Champagne

Pan-seared Duck Breast with Cherry Sauce, Wild Rice, Braised Cavolo Nero, White Asparagus

Served with? Something Dark and Luscious From the Wine Fridge

Thin Apple Tart with Homemade Fig Ice Cream
