What are you eating on New Year's Day?

My mom, of distant southern origin, always made a big pot of hoppin' John (black eyed peas and rice), and I've found myself compelled to seek out black-eyed peas, greens, and cornbread nearly every new year's day that I could. Now that I live in Italy, I noticed everyone in the supermarket today scouring the shelves for lentils (since they resemble coins, they're a traditional Italian New Year's food) and cotecchino, a big fat sausage served with lentils. What are you cooking/eating this New Year's day? With best wishes for a healthy, happy and tasty one...(And no, alas, I don't really have a good hoppin' john recipe--not being pork eaters, we never made it with the all-important ham hock--and all the vegetarian versions I've made since then have been pretty bland.)
