Apologies to several, especially Barbix, in the pickles thread of a month ago, who suggested half-sours and particularly Ba-Tampte. They were on sale last week, so I gave them another try...EXACTLY what I had been looking for!
I must have had extra-sour or something last time I tried that brand, as I'd come to believe that Ba-Tamptes were MORE sour than the average dill. Not at all the case.
By the way, every "dill" of every brand I see is "kosher dill". Do NON-kosher dills exist? What exactly would run amok of kashruth in a salty vegetable?
