Eating at Panorama

While I recognize that posting for Panorama on chowhound is inappropriate, I had to find a place to warn anyone from making the same mistake I made.

One of my worst dining experiences ever. My friends and I were visting from NYC and went there on a recommendation (last time I ask that guy for any advice). We got there at 8:10 for an 8 PM reservation. After telling us that our table would be ready in a few minutes and that they were just a little slow they made us wait until 9:30 to be seated. I've heard of waiting half an hour for a reservation, but that's ridiculous.

I'm glad that I wasn't on a business meal or a date or anything like that.

I thought that everyone must have been waiting so long for great food. Wrong again. The food was fine, but bland and in meager quantities. For $40 my pasta and salad should be really, really good, not just OK.

I understand the wine bar is supposed to be good, but I really couldn't care less. From reviews I've seen on other websites, many have had similar experiences to mine. I wish I'd read those sites before I went.
