I just came upstairs after eating lunch at le creperie... I figured I should try it..since it is in my building.

It's very pretty inside.

the menu is a little unsophisticated. Ok I'm going to excuse to bad mixing of french and english on the menu. the combinations of foods inside the crepes are pretty pedestrian. Nothing seemed like "oooh gotta get that" So I settled on a mushroom crepe. it came with" a side of house salad" make that a tablespoon of side salad. the crepe itself was very pretty ...a large square...filled with ...canned mushrooms. Bleh !and waaay too much nutmeg to attempt to cover the canned taste. ... the crepe itself was sweet, too sweet for the savory mushrooms.

The waiters seem eager to please...but not quite sure how to go about doing it...In their great rush to be pleasant and helpful they grabbed away my plate before I was quite finished.

In the interest of reporting back to folks on the list I ordered dessert... I settled on an apple tart. it arrived warm. I was delighted.. but it tasted like they had used the knife they had used to cut the tart to cut green peppers before they cut the tart..and the crust was soggy and mealy, it probably was not made to re heat in a microwave.

I think that there is hope for this place. they need to play with the menu and with their recipies some.
