Halvah is one of those treats from childhood I still feel attached to. As an adult, it gives me a massive sugar rush (if I try to eat it in huge gobs the way I did when I was a kid).
What's the adult way to consume it? I have some sense that in Turkey, it's eaten in small portions with bitter, bitter coffee. This makes sense to me as a way to savor the sweetness and I'm looking for a non-caffeine version of that ritual, or some other way I'm not aware of that also helps in appreciating flavors and limiting portion sizes.
Thx in advance, J
