eating out with a baby

londontraveller | Nov 18, 2009 04:05 AM

My wife and I are staying in New York for 4 nights the weekend before Xmas. We will have our 5 month old baby with us.

We have been to New York quite a few times before but always just us two.

Can anyone advise on NY baby friendly restaurants particularly brunch.

We will eat most things but will problably steer clear of most ethnic food (we are from London and are well catered for in that department). So, typical NY fayre plus Italian, French really.

Although on our previous trips Saturday night tended to be no expense spared ( One if by Land, River Cafe) we doubt that this will be the case this year (mainly due to the fact that the babysitter at the hotel is likely to cost about $200 alone). We assume that almost all restaurants in these categories will not allow babies.

We shall be staying 48th and Park but there is no limit really to travelling.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
