This looks like a pretty bad-ass event. The biggest names in NY Italian cuisine (and Wylie) paired with the chefs from the "best" restaurants in Italy (all of them on the Pellegrino "top 50" list).
Apparently, they had it last year as well, but I didn't hear about it. I signed up for the Batali/Bottura cooking demo later this month because I didn't want to shell out $225 for the big dinner, although it's a relative "bargain" since it includes wine pairings, tax, and tip. That would equate to probably like a $110 tasting menu and $60 wine pairings.
Did anybody go last year?
