all you can eat steakhouse

a few weeks ago i went to churrasceria palmera 2 near times square - it's one of these deals where you pay a flat price (i think it was like $50) and there's a sweet salad bar (jumbo shrimp cocktail, a million cheeses and breads, etc.) and waiters running around the dining room with sides of beef on metal spikes. "care for some prime rib, sir?" "oh, please just slice me off a medium rare piece." meat was excellent/

my problem is that the place was a bit fancier than it needed to be (live piano and singer, frilled tablecloths) and that with a reservation it took an hour and half to sit down. there has got to be several places - at least - in the city that serve food as good, but do it in a more timely manner, without a lot of pomp and circumstance, and charge their clientele a bit less. i am of course more than willing to travel to any borough.

so, help me out
