I much prefer to eat salad from a shallow bowl. I never understood salad plates. With some salads, I can't get the last pieces of lettuce lying flat and stuck on the plate. My grape tomatoes roll around and I have to stab them at the risk of projectile tomatoes when my fork fails to pierce the skin. Or if I successfully stab it, I might squirt juice all over myself or my table mates. At least in a bowl, the juice is contained.
So tell me, how do you eat/serve your salads? (green salads, not pasta or grain or fruit or egg or tuna salads)
EDIT TO ADD: Is it ok to eat salad with a knife and fork?
