Things to eat in Seoul that's difficult to find in NYC

Miss Needle | May 24, 201607:28 PM     8

Hi. Will be going to Seoul in a few months. Haven't been there in over 30 years and looking forward to revisiting. I live in NYC and have decent access to Korean food in New Jersey, Flushing and Manhattan. I've also lived in Los Angeles for a bit. As my background is Korean and had a wide range of Korean food growing up.

What I'm mainly interested in is Korean food that's tough to find in my hometown. I've done an internet search and can't really find too many things that I haven't tried. A few items that I haven't had include:

croissant bungeoppang
egg bread (geran ppang)
kogo (french fry hot dog)
ingeolmi (mochi between toast covered with dried beans)
silkworms

And not sure if some of them are worth the stomach space (ie croissant bungeoppang, kogo).

While I can't list every single thing, some of the more esoteric Korean dishes I've had include cold noodles in soybean broth, dak dori tang, dak kabli.

Would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
