Where to eat local "delicacies" in Iceland

julieapfel | Jan 14, 201506:43 AM     2

Hi all - I will be in Iceland in May spending 2 nights in Reykjavik then 7 or 8 days driving around the country. I am looking for some recs of places that I might be able to try some local food, like puffin, minke whale, langoustine, local lamb (smoked?), skyr, great local fish, meat soup, and even some of the other stuff like sheeps head or shark. I am not looking for supermarkets who carry it to prepare myself, but restaurants or cafes that serve it. I'll be driving the ring road so I'll be looking for places convenient to that road. Thanks!
