Just found a bag of puy lentils, which I love, in the back of my cupboard. They are marked June 11 (that is the date they were bought - this year - from the bulk section) - and are in a plastic bag, about 2.5lbs worth. Everything in the bag seems dry but the lentils themselves have a slight greyish/speckled tinge (this could be the way they were when I got them, I didn't look at them too closely). They have been stored since June 11 in a cupboard. Are these still OK to cook up and eat or should I toss them?
