Eat more coco bread Prospect Heights/Park Slope

Synapse Lackey | Sep 3, 2001 10:15 PM

You know I searched the list and maybe I missed it but I can't even begin to imagine why Christies Bakery and their coco bread/beef patty sandwiches missed a comment or two here. They're at 334 Flatbush ave. at Sterling Pl. (Prospect Heights - although those "desperate for hipness" Slopers like to claim any territory they can). Please, Please, Please correct me if I'm wrong! Just ask for a "Patty Sandwich". No reheated packaged patties here. Hot out of the oven coco bread with a fresh beef/chicken/veggie patty (uh... yeah... vegetarians can eat too) sandwiched in between and you'll be kicking yourself for waiting at some marginal "eggs and holandaise" brunch-o-rama when you could be sitting on a bench at Grand Army chowing down one of these power breakfasts. The bread alone will give you ample reason to spend the rest of your saved time actually taking in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden or walking off the 8 million calories you just ate in Prospect Park. The coco bread alone is worth the 50 cents. But, hey, what do I know, even if you eat just one you're only out a buck seventy five...
