I'll be spending next week with a friend who just moved to Chicago, in the Andersonville neighborhood.
She's not much of a cook (and she's swamped trying to work and unpack etc.), so we'll be doing lots of eating out or ordering in, and I'll be doing some eating on my own while she's at work. This is more of a help-her-get settled thing than a fancy culinary vacation, and we don't have the budget to go to very upscale places (maybe one dinner splurge) so I'm thinking trying to track down casual and affordable but tasty places in the area. Ideally things that we can walk to (she's at glenwood and berwynn [sp?]).
Variety is key--I don't want to be eating pizza every night--though recommendations on a decent pizza place would be appreciated. (I'll probably do some exploring on my own, so if there's anything to avoid that'd be helpful too.)
