Where To Eat With 2 Kids in August (near Union Station)?

js76wisco | Apr 26, 2017 04:47 PM

Hi Toronto CH friends. It's out first time in Toronto with a 4 and 6 year old for 5 days. We are renting a place near Union Station since it convenient for the airport shuttle and going to Niagara Falls. We're coming in from LA/OC so looking for places and cuisines that are better in Toronto - that means no Korean, Chinese, Mexican or farm to table. We do not have a car so keep that in mind. My kids are very good eaters and will basically try anything once. Here is my list of places I gathered relatively close to Union Station. Would love any feedback or recommendations.

Breakfast (grab and go)
St Urbain - I grew up in NY and curious about the Montreal bagel hype
Forno Cultura
Bar Buca

Lunch Options - pick 4
Bar Raval
Caplansky's - is this worth the trip?
Sud Forno
Rodney's Oyster House
Sukho Thai
Pizza Libretto
The Gabardine
Anne's Magic Kitchen - just in case

Dinner - pick 4
L’Unita (will probably go Tuesday night for 50% off bottles)
Bar Isabel
Buca Yorkville - see very mixed reviews on the forum
Pizza Libretto
The Gabardine
Rodney's Oyster House
Anne's Magic Kitchen - just in case

Sweet Jesus
Soma Chocolatmakers

Are there any places within a 10-15 minute walk that I am missing?
