I'm looking to get some opinions on dining with children.
Normally, if my husband and I go to a better restaurant, we don't bring our children. If we go to a mid-range one, we may bring them as long as it is early (i.e., 5 pm, not 8pm.) They are fairly well-behaved when they are out to eat. They don't throw things or leave their seats or any of the other horrific behavior often complained about children when dining out.
My question is this: for the first time this year, we will be eating out on Easter. I would like to go to someplace nice. Since it's a holiday, is it generally expected that you will be dining amongst children? I don't want to ruin anyone's dining experience. As stated, they are fairly well behaved, but they are still children (7 and 4), and can get a little loud and silly, but certainly not anything that would be noticed by more than our immediate neighbors.
(Any recommendations in Rhode Island, esp. Providence & vicinity, would be appreciated as well)
Thanks for your input!
