Hi guys thanks so much for the reccomendations. We've tried most of your suggestions already, but now I'm tempted by Taix.

I really don't like Rodeo grill - once we got a bad plate of carne asada and it kind of turned us off returning.

The equadorian place sounds good, and Nicky D.'s.

I agree about Alegria. Mediocre food but we keep going because it has such potential.

I've been to the Indian Sweets & Spices on Pico, which is pretty good, so I can't wait to try the Los Feliz version.

Every time we try Thai over here we're disappointed. Of course I lived in Thailand for a few years and I write about Thai cooking so I have kind of high standards; there are great places in Hollywood so it seems a shame that none over here can do it.

Pho cafe I like too, but we got some serious "cooler than thou" vibes the last time.

Spain was nice - a bit expensive for what you get but a fun change.

Thanks for the suggestions, we're off to Taix as I write.
