Back from East Manor

Hi All,

Thanks for your help in planning my little surprise anniversary party for my parents - we ended up having it at East Manor on a Saturday at noon in one of their private rooms near the buffet. I ordered food ahead of time from the menu, we had about 34 people in the room (that seemed like the max it could hold comfortably, though they do have other much bigger private dining rooms that looked very nice on the lower floors)...I came ahead to decorate and things went great! The food was good (i ordered a mix of dim sum and the american "basics" chicken fingers, spare ribs, lo mein etc.), the staff were very nice and good about timing and last-minute add-ons to our order and other random requests (last-minute we needed a podium), I had talked mostly with one of the managers Stephen to set things up... everyone had a great time and loved the room and atmosphere and all said they would go again to eat...though they need to do more advertising, almost everyone i invited lived nearby and most were not aware they were open...I'd been once before for the dinner buffet (after seeing posts here) and would go again but probably stick to ordering off the menu for price reasons...

thanks again!
