Early Father's Day in Hill Country

Since bro and dad can't keep up with my food "tours" anymore, I confined this year's Dad's Day lunch to one restaurant: Hill Country. Moist brisket (Dad:"better than the Carnegie Deli"), beef shoulder, pork ribs, beef ribs, Kreutz jalapeno sausages, pork chops. Big Red soda, sweet tea, beans and burnt ends, Lone Star beer, beautiful waitresses, Blue Bell ice cream. The only disappointment was they ran out of the prime rib. Took a tour of the smokers in the back-very cool. Got a taste of wild boar ribs on the way out-wish I'd known they were on the menu. After this and last weekend's Big Apple BBQ Festival I'm taking a bbq break.
