So my brother and I have started meeting for dinner on Wednesday evenings. "And?" I hear you saying, "this is interesting to me because...?"
Because it's a chowhound challenge that will enable you to steer the futures of two impressionable people! I just moved to the area, and my brother is barely beginning to come up for air several months after the birth of his second child. Lots of criteria, and a very hungry time-strapped pair who will post effusive thanks on a weekly basis.
Here's THE DEAL:
I pick my brother up from work about 6pm near 11th and Market.
We need to be back in Manayunk by 8:15.
We are a little sick of Italian and sandwiches, but otherwise it's wide open (WIDE open - vegan, steak, hole-in-the-wall, exceptional bar food, organic New American, whatever).
Price is a bit of a consideration - say, a max of $25-$30 per person not including drinks. (Don't be shy about any cheaper places, of course.)
BYO or not doesn't matter, except that of course I'd like to know which it is.
These dinners out are also an extended stakeout for potential dinners for my brother and his wife on babysitter nights, so if you have any opinions in that direction I'd love to hear them.
Help a sister and brother get to know each other again!
