Stopped in at Home last night after getting my BBQ cravings shut down by both Brother-in-law's and Memphis Minnie's which turned out to be closed on Monday evenings. Just ended up having a bowl of very good split pea soup (nice and smoky) and their chopped salad, but I noticed on the specials board that they were advertising an early bird special that listed
all for $10.99 from 5-6pm!! Now somebody please tell me they've tried this. I confirmed with the waitress that it is indeed a bona fide three course prix fixe (with wine), so if I don't hear from any of you 'hounds, then I may have to cut out early from the office and give this a whirl. Heck, even if the entree turns out to be nothing more than their "Big Daddy" version of mac 'n cheese with Black Forrest ham, I'd be pleased as punch.
So, who's tried this before? C'mon, somebody's got to be into eating at the geriatric dinner hour ;)
