New Dutch Country Farmers Market Opens

treetop tom | Mar 20, 2008 10:30 AM

The latest expansion of the Amish markets in MD opened today here in Upper Marlboro. Just like the beloved markets in Burtonsville & Annapolis, only brand new, clean and wider aisles. Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Candy, poultry, meat, tons of fresh baked goods and prepared foods, produce and my favorite Kutztown sodas. The downside - it is off the beaten track at the intersection of MD 725, John Rogers Boulevard and Brown Station Road in the Marlboro Village shopping center. A short drive off of MD 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue), US 301 (Crain Highway) or MD 202 (Landover Road). Hope they can make a go of it - two previous markets have failed at that location.
