Durham: Thai Cafe

Went to Thai Cafe last friday night and had a generally good experience.
The goods: the pad thai was flavorful and the noodles were cooked to the right mix of chewy without being tough or clumpy. The cold basil roll starters were superb, and the green curry was good flavor, but not very spicy, especially since it got 3/3 peppers on the menu. 1 or 2/3 must be REALLY tame.
The bads: just the usual: location (strip mall), price: too high for basic Thai ($11.95 for pad thai? - the same dish would be 7.95 or 8.95 in NY), but I can't blame them for the price: the rules of supply and demand rule and the place was packed.
The funny: our waiter had a little trouble figuring out what wine my friend ordered: he brought her a white when she had pointed to a red on the menu and when she asked for another glass (she liked the white after all), he brought her a glass of red.

Summary: not particularly excellent or authentic, but not bad and better than what else is out there!!
