I am a novice at pies, tarts and baking in general. I have never made my own crust before and I don't want to attempt it now at a dinner party. I have never used a premade pie crust either. I am having a party on Sat and I don't want to make a crust for a bacon onion tart I am making so I bought a pie crust. My question is do I need to bake the crust for a short period first, then fill and bake again or do I just fill the crust and bake it?
