Duarte's Strawberry-Rubarb pie

Intended to go down to Swanton's Berry Farm but got a late start and didn't make it that far down the coast. We did make it to Duarte's in Pescadero, though. Decided to go with Janice's favorite: the Strawberry - Rubarb. Warmed it in a low oven before serving it with some Double Rainbow Vanilla ice cream - sooo good! Very flaky crust with a great filling - a nice balance between the initial sweetness of the strawberries and the tart finish of the rhubarb. Yum. $18 for a whole pie ( 10 inch? ) not cheap but very good. We walked down the street to Norm's Store/Market and looked at Arcangeli Bread - bought some raisin bread - out of the bag it was unremarkable and a bit chewy - hope it improves with toasting.
