Drying little metal things....

Sigurd | Oct 8, 201507:22 PM

I just had a little eureka moment that I thought I'd share.

After a canning session clean up I was left with a bunch of metal rings. The part you screw down onto the jar that holds the seal while processing.

I hate washing these things because they rust if you just look at them funny.

My idea was that my little toaster oven had a timer and probably burns 1/3 the electricity of my stove. I put the rings in a roasting tray. Set the timer for 10minutes. Popped them in oven and walked away! When I came back - nice dry rings.

Just a tip, because.
