Drinks and Apps at Eastern Standard Saturday Night, not impressed!

Had a couple of friends visiting this weekend, so I decided it would be fun to try out the Eastern Standard for drinks and a small bite to eat since we had a late lunch. We weren't able to sit outside at the bar, but managed to get a group of tables together right next to the open doors. The restaurant decor is very nice, and the place is nice and airy. But the rest of the experience was horrible. The bar area wasn't too crowded considering it was saturday night and our waitress came right away to order drinks. We then placed our appetizer order and then waited, and waited, AND WAITED. About 20 minutes later we saw our drinks appear at the bar and proceeded to watch them sit there while our waitress walked by them SEVERAL times. Then all of a sudden our food arrived! Yup, we got our food before we ever got our drinks! Finally we had to ask another server to get us our drinks because we overheard her say "whose drinks are these, they've been here for a while". The Jack Rose was pretty good, I tried it based on chowhound recs. I agree with other posters that their food is incredibly salty!! I just couldn't get over how salty the aoli was for the fried calamari. The steak tartare was pretty good, but that was my first taste ever so I have nothing to compare it to. Then my friend and I wanted to share the grilled cheese since we were more hungry than the rest of our party. It came about 40 minutes after our apps. And it was cold, and there was no cheese in the sandwich to speak of. Bad experience all the way around. Our waitress never actually served us anything! We got our drinks from other servers, the water from the water girl, and the food from other servers. And for 140.00 for five we were not happy!!
