Drinks at 400 Highland in Davis

David | May 18, 2006 11:26 AM

Last night my friend and I went to get drinks at 400 Highland at about 9pm. We have been curious about it. I arrived there and got a nice seat at the Window. It was a nice night to sit by the open window. It is a very nice feature. The decor inside is nice. We told the host we were just there for drinks. She recommended that we go to the bar to get the drinks and come back and sit down. So I went up tot he bar, got a Smuttynose IPA and a Pineapple infused Vodka Martini. The Martini was very sweet and didn't seem to have any alcohol in it. The beer tasted a little off but was still good. My friend took the drink back and told him how she felt like it was very weak. He was gracious and added more vodka to the drink. I tasted it again and it was better but still not so good. For the second round we got 2 more beers. One was the Rogue Dead Guy Ale and one was the Sam Summer. I think I am just not a fan of the Rogue but I wanted to try it again and we felt the Sam Summer was a bit too wheat tasting. All in all I don't think I would go back there for drinks again.
