Drinking Teflon...

I've got various mixes of insulated thermos bottles/growlers. All are SS interior. I think SOME of them may have copper on between the -sandwich- to minimize on sweating as well. Not that I have ever noticed a difference

Wanted to get a new 20oz insulated. My preferred brand in this size would be Zojirushi. I don't drink hot coffee generally in a insulated mug on the go. I prefer drinking out of glassware ;-) and when in a rush, I have taken a glass tumbler in the car and just drive a smidge slower on the turns.

Mainly cold or warm water for this application.
However, Zojirushi makes 85% of their models currently with their preferred interior, which is a PTFE LINED interior.....which threw me for a major curveball. Is this really a -thing-. Sure, it probably does stain less, etc, but I would one rather choose SS over PTFE for the interior portion of vessel.

Am I overthinking this or is PTFE that -really safe- ?
