Here's a very specific restaurant search challenge:
I was just given a bottle of '95 D.P. as a gift.
Though a wine lover, I am also a man of modest means and have never had Dom before. (A good mid-range NV is a special occasion for me.) So I'm pretty excited about this bottle.
So, where would you go to make the most of the Dom popping occasion, that would still be affordable, i.e. $50 per person or less, inclusive.
Crucial variables here would involve balancing the basic wonderfulness and bubbly-appropriateness of the restaurant/menu, along with the BYO/corkage policy. Will they allow our bottle? Will they gouge us for the privilege of drinking it?
