I might be out of the loop on this but....
Drews has a 3 course meal for 35 a head. This was a good dining night! I won’t make this too long winded but I would recommend this for some good food at a reasonable price. For those worried about calories, this is not your place ;)
It is mon-Thursday and includes some good choices. The waiter told me it is temporary to get people in there on some slower/colder nights so I am not sure how much longer it will be around.
As for food, I know he changes things up so keep that in mind. Smoked mozz mac-n-cheese with short rib was a real treat. I could feel my arteries hardening as I ate this. Creamy, smokey but not over the top, and some nice texture with the breadcrumbs...well done. The other app was a pork rillette (pulled pork cake fried to a crispy perfection.) The presumably house made pickles on the side and Dijon with toast paired well and I loved this dish. There is nothing like taking some unhealthy pork and frying it up for extra flavor lol. I love his style.
Dishes were the crab cake, which many of you know, and “chicken n waffles” with a jalapeno maple jus. Half an organic bird was served on top of a nice size waffle. A nice slice of thick cut bacon or two would have really complimented this dish nicely.
The carrot cake and the “car bomb” Sunday finished strongly. Guinness ice cream was topped with jameson caramel and a charred marshmallow. This was truly a spectacular dessert and I am not a sweets guy. Overall, this was a good night and not bank breaking.
